Naomi Lindenfeld demos during the BWA Open Studio Tour
Jim Giddings’ highly worked oil-stick on paper paintings display raw energy in their powerful graphic images. Frequently monochromatic and often containing ground graphite that adds a painterly sheen, these are tightly composed abstractions. Giddings’ interest as an artist is clearly about surface, texture and density. His hand is actively present in each of his distinctive renderings.
