Marta Bernbaum

The glass work of Marta Bernbaum often suggests the struggles in our natural world that various flora have to overcome to secure their individual existence, and the beauty that can often times emerge from that process.  In addition to floral concepts, she also creates a line of jewelry that has Japanese blessings that offer a talisman to honor personal challenges and growth.

Marta's current personal challenge is the construction of her studio and home with her husband Josh.  For the past eight years, since graduating with degrees in glass art from the Massachusetts College of Art, they have created their limited production while renting workspace at several other studios.  Marta and Josh's new studio will have a furnace glass area as well as a torch-working location.
